EXECUTIVE BIOGRAPHY

One career, connected across functions

Twenty years of making
the work connect.

Sales taught me to listen. Product taught me to choose. Operations taught me that reality always gets a vote. Executive leadership taught me how to make all three move at the same time, in the same direction, without a committee.

Portrait of Dan Lawellin

Dan Lawellin is a global business executive, growth operator, and print-industry specialist with 20+ years across P&L, commercial leadership, product management, operations, enterprise systems, and new-application development. He serves on Kernow Coatings’ eight-person global operating board and has led growth, portfolio transformation, OEM strategy across eight Tier-1 print OEMs, ERP and CRM modernization, and commercialization across North American and global markets.

The edge is range. Most people can talk substrates, coatings, presses, and finishing, or they can talk portfolio economics and board decisions. The value shows up in the translation between the two—which is where most print businesses lose money without noticing.

Former DSCOOP Partner Advisory Board member, DSCOOP Americas and Europe, and a regular industry speaker and webinar presenter.

Serious about growth.
Not always about myself.

Analytical and optimistic, which I'm told is an unusual combination. Relentlessly curious, and at my best when a problem crosses three departmental borders and nobody wants to own the middle.

I also make photographs—a useful habit for someone paid to notice the details other people walk past.

The sarcasm is calibrated. The follow-through is not.

The resume is the summary.
The conversation is better.

Most engagements start with a 30-minute conversation and a straight answer about whether I can help.
